To get started, please go to the Clarity Application and create an account. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete and is mobile-friendly so you can access it anywhere. You are also able to save your progress and return at any time. At the end of the application, you will be asked to submit a one-time fee of $60.

Applications for the 2025-26 school year are due on January 9, 2025 for current Hausner families and January 23, 2025 for new families applying to Hausner. 

The tuition assistance process is entirely confidential. Separated or divorced parents should each submit their own application.

A Tuition Affordability Program for Jewish Communal Professionals

Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School is proud to offer the Professional Partner Program, a robust tuition affordability program for Jewish community professionals. 

Why is the Professional Partner Program so important to Hausner?
One of our core values at Hausner is community. In fact, we have a tagline “Community is the Heart of Hausner”. Therefore, tuition discounts for Jewish Communal Professionals reflects the values we instill in our students from prioritizing community, kehillah; to doing acts of kindness; to helping make positive change in the world, tikkun olam; and to giving respect to those who dedicate themselves to our community, kavod. It is only fitting then that our fee structure recognizes and welcomes those families who have dedicated their professional lives to upholding and amplifying these same values.

Accessibility is of paramount importance
At Hausner, we believe the gift of a Jewish Day School education should be accessible to anyone who seeks it. Our Jewish communal professional tuition program supports local Jewish professionals who desire to be a part of our unique learning community.

Who qualifies for the Professional Partner Program?
Palo Alto Professional Partner: We offer our deepest tuition discount of 40% to any family with one parent working full-time for one of our Palo Alto Professional Partners:

• Oshman Family Jewish Community Center

• The Kehillah School

General Jewish Professional Partner: We extend a 30% discount off Hausner tuition to any family in which at least one parent works full-time for a qualifying Jewish nonprofit. 

Families eligible for the Professional Partner Program may also apply for additional tuition assistance.

A Tuition Affordability Program for Eligible Hausner Families
Due by April 21, 2025

Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School offers the Sibling Savings program to eligible families with more than one child enrolled at Hausner to receive sibling discounts.

How does Hausner's sibling savings work?

Eligibility: Families whose gross income is less than $650,000 and whose liquid assets are less than $500,000.

Awards are dependent on the upload of your 2024 tax return, which should reflect an income of less than $650,000 and is due to be submitted by April 21, 2025. Once the 2024 tax information is provided and verified, a discount will be credited to your tuition balance for the 2025-26 school year. The information collected through the application form will be kept confidential and will only be used to verify eligibility for this request by Hausner's Tuition Assistance Committee and then deleted.

Please note that those who receive funds from the Professional Partner Program or the needs-based Tuition Assistance program will not be eligible for Sibling Savings.

At Hausner, we strive to make our education accessible to families by offering tuition assistance that helps reduce the financial burden. Families apply for assistance through the Clarity platform, where they provide details about their income, assets, and expenses. Every application is handled with confidentiality and reviewed by our Tuition Assistance Committee, which carefully evaluates each family's financial situation.

Awards are determined annually and given during re-enrollment for current students or upon enrollment for new students. Since financial circumstances can change, families reapply each year. The maximum award covers up to 75% of the total tuition, ensuring we can support as many families as possible.

No, a family’s financial situation is not taken into account in the admissions process.

There is no defined income range for tuition assistance eligibility. To determine eligibility, the school's Tuition Assistance Committee considers income, the assets of both parents, number of dependents, and number of children enrolled in the school, among other things.

Most families adjust spending priorities and carefully manage their assets to be able to afford their children’s education.

Tuition assistance awards pertain to tuition and fees that are listed on the enrollment contract only. All class trips have their own tuition-assistance process.

No. Only one application is required per family.

Each parent, regardless of custodial arrangements, must complete a financial aid application and submit all pertinent tax documents.

Tuition assistance is a grant and you will not need to repay it. If at some future date your family has the capacity to do so, we hope you will consider making a donation to Hausner’s Annual Fund in order to help keep a Hausner education accessible to other families.

We require all families to submit minimal documentation each year in order to determine the award for the following year. Our award determination process remains largely the same from year to year. Assuming that your family’s financial situation remains the same each year, your family can anticipate receiving approximately the same award. If your family’s financial circumstances should change drastically at any point during the school year, we encourage you to reach out to our team.

Please complete the tuition assistance application as thoroughly as possible and include the most recent tax documents from your country of residence. If necessary, we may request a translation of the documents.

For families applying for tuition assistance moving from Israel: We'd like to see all forms filed with the Israeli Tax Authority from last year, including Form 1219, if that applies. In addition, submit Form 106. Please upload these documents in Clarity.
