Announcing a new scholarship opportunity
The 2023-2024 Special Bridge “Gesher” Scholarship For New Students
At Hausner, we recognize that many families take advantage of the outstanding public schools in Palo Alto and the greater Peninsula area for elementary school, and then find their educational home at Hausner for the middle school years. Students coming to Hausner from public schools are critical to the vibrancy of our community.
In an effort to expand and promote our Upper School (grades 5-8) program, Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School is offering a limited number of scholarships to students who are joining our program in 5th or 6th grade specifically from public schools. This program is designed to facilitate an Upper School entry point as well as enhancing a smooth transition to our independent school.
Thanks to an anonymous donor, any Hausner applicant to 5th or 6th grade who attended public school for at least two years prior and who does not have a sibling who has attended Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School may apply for this scholarship.
The amount of the award is $10,000. Families are also welcome to apply for our traditional tuition assistance program (see more information below) that may result in a more generous award.

6th Grade–8th Grade: $40,600

Tuition Assistance Overview
Choosing to give your child the gift of Jewish day school is a significant commitment for your family. At Hausner we are committed to providing your student with an exceptional education. We are equally as committed to making Hausner affordable for families who demonstrate financial need.
Hausner uses FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment to conduct the confidential process of applying for Tuition Assistance. The School appoints a Tuition Assistance Committee to review financial aid applications and to make financial aid award decisions.
