Shabbat in Jerusalem
It was our second Shabbat in Israel. We will be leaving Jerusalem tomorrow and heading north to Golan Heights.
It was a day of prayer, peace, relaxation, and hanging out. The students went to synagogue in the morning and spent much of day socializing and sharing each other's company.
In the evening, after Havdalah, they got another chance to roam Ben Yehuda Street, to eat pizza and ice cream and to shop for souvenirs. It was quite a festive atmosphere there, and there are many other school groups visiting Jerusalem at the moment. We ran into the group from Kehillah and some got a chance to talk to siblings or friends.
Noah and Ron's Summary
Today, May 21, was Shabbat. The whole day was just a day of resting.
In the morning, we all went to Synagogue. After that, everyone had the chance to relax at the hotel and hang out with friends. Some people played soccer outside the hotel. Then, we all had dinner at the hotel and had Havdalah.
At the end, we walked around Ben Yehuda Street and bought food and souvenirs.
