Meet Amanda Evans, Hausner's dedicated Admission and Outreach Associate! With a background in childcare and a passion for events and data, Amanda shares her journey from the front desk to the heart of Hausner's Admission and Enrollment team over the past 6 years.
1. Can you briefly introduce yourself and tell us about your background and experience?
My name is Amanda and previously worked as a nanny for Jewish families and then joined Hausner in 2018 working at the front desk. In 2019 I started working with the Admissions and Enrollment team and in 2020 I fully transitioned to the Admissions and Enrollment team.
2. What is your role at Hausner and how long have you been here?
I have been at Hausner going on for 6 years. I work with Valerie and Dina in the Admission and Enrollment department. My title is Admission and Outreach Associate.
3. What inspired you to get into your line of work?
I have always enjoyed working with children, working events, and crunching data and numbers. This job I feel is the perfect combination of all of those things.
4. What do you find most rewarding about your job?
The most rewarding part of my job is introducing families to the wonderful Hausner community.
5. What do you do when you’re not at work?
I enjoy hiking and exploring with my husband and two dogs. I also enjoy making art, taking photos, and finding new music to listen to.
6. What do you love most about Hausner?
The amazing community!
7. Tell us a fun fact about yourself
I am a 7th-generation Californian on my father's side. Some of my ancestors were farmers in Salinas in the 1800s.
8. What is your favorite Hebrew word or Jewish Holiday?
I enjoy learning more about all of the Jewish Holidays and traditions. One of my favorites is Purim.
