Approximately 10% of our operating budget comes from annual gifts, including the Hausner Fund in the fall and the annual Spring Benefit. Gifts from our community ensure that a Hausner education remains accessible to a diverse population of families in our community. In fact, tuition covers approximately 80% of our budget. Annual fundraising, grants, and other sources of income make up the rest of the budget.

The Hausner Fund impacts our school in many ways and supports:

• Faculty Support, including

  • Compensation for outstanding faculty and staff, who are attracted by the excellence of our program, mission, and students 

  • Professional development opportunities for our faculty and staff to ensure continued growth and exposure to best practices
     

• Jewish Life and Learning, including:

  •  Jewish Studies, and Jewish values instilled throughout the curriculum, creating the next generation of mensches

  • Community service/Avodah La’Olam integrated into the curriculum in every grade

  • School and classroom celebrations of Jewish holidays

  • Hebrew curriculum
     

• STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) programming, including:

  • Classroom technology including iPads, robots, and computer programming
     

• Outstanding General Studies program
   

• Need-based financial assistance and scholarships
   

• Funding for classroom materials
   

• Learning Support Team who works to support students with learning differences in and outside the classroom. LST supports the teachers and partners with parents and outside practitioners to help all students attain excellence

One of Hausner’s greatest strengths is our community including families, staff, alumni, and students. Widespread support of the school through the Hausner Fund conveys a powerful statement reflecting our belief in and dedication to Hausner's goals and programs—and, again, it is a sign of our strong community. Every gift is a vote of confidence in the school and the high quality Jewish education we deliver to our students. When we achieve 100% participation from our parents and faculty, we send a strong message of ownership and support to major funders. And, all students benefit from a successful Hausner Fund.

Each fall, we launch a campaign to raise support for the Hausner Fund. Our campaign theme is Celebrating 36 (Double Chai) Building a Bright Future Together. This fund ensures our school’s financial strength, and supports operating expenses and innovative educational initiatives. Every Spring, the benefit raises funds to support our amazing academic programs, to ensure that Hausner is the best it can be.
